Most Americans don’t consume the recommended quantities and variety of fruits and vegetables. But contrary to popular belief, eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive.
The USDA is offering $9,000 in prizes for the best videos that encourage healthy eating habits and raise awareness around USDA’s MyPlate dietary guidelines, which includes making half your plate fruits and vegetables.
Only 5 days are left in the competition. Pick up your video camera, smartphone, or laptop, and hit record!

The result? This funny 60-second video shot by brothers David and Aaron Matthews of Vicksburg, Mississipi. They had a blast making the vid, and even won $1,000.
