Transit buffs and software developers take note — in addition to more than $15,000 in prizes for winners of MTA App Quest, all participants who submit an eligible app will get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the Grand Central Terminal.
Use MTA data to create new apps that improve the transit experience of 8.5 million daily riders. The MTA has posted 4 new datasets, and updated and expanded a fifth.
Gain recognition by getting your app in front of our star-studded panel of judges that include the World Economic Forum’s Director of Engagement Technologies Noel Hidalgo, NYC Chief Digital Officer Rachel Sterne, NYC Deputy Mayor for Operations Steven Goldsmith, and more.
Check out the datasets, and submit your application before September 26!

We at ChallengePost are thrilled to be working with the Edinburgh Festivals Innovation Lab on launching the Edinburgh Festivals Ideas Challenge. For the first time ever, the Edinburgh Festivals will be inviting the public to share ideas on how to make the festivals an even more amazing experience — taking the conversations that usually take place around pub tables into a large-scale debate online.
Whether you’re a performer, audience member, organiser, or fan, we’d love to hear from you. The Challenge is open to ideas of all shapes, sizes, and contexts, and over £5,000 in prizes will be awarded for the best ones — so let your imagination run wild, submit an idea now, and vote up your favourites!
For inspiration, consider these 3 themes (ideas relating to any other themes will do too!):
Scotland’s Edinburgh is the world’s Festival City — with 12 Festivals throughout the year where people come together across the globe to enjoy an endless array of events, performances, and spectacles, and to share their passion for arts, culture, and ideas.
The Edinburgh Festivals Ideas Challenge will run from August 15 to October 31. Check out the prizes and the amazing panel of judges!
